A bit about myself...
I am a professionally trained voice coach with an MA in Professional Voice Practice from the Birmingham School of Acting. I am a member of the British Voice Association (BVA), Voice Care Network UK, Voice and Speech Teachers Association (VASTA) and Equity, as well as the British Shakespeare Association. I work as a voice, accent and dialect tutor for dance and drama colleges such as Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama (MADD) and The Urdang Academy.
I am a professional actress and have worked in theatre, film and corporate roleplay. I have also written and performed my own work based on some of Shakespeare's female characters and one based on his wife. I have directed as well as run my own theatre company, Triplash Theatre Company. I also lecture at further education and university level. I was the founder member of Sparx Theatre Company, a special needs theatre company that encourages integration and directed all of their productions. I have worked with many different groups of people, directing productions, running workshops and projects.
I am passionate about wanting to help you unlock the potential in your voice in a healthy and safe way. Your voice is unique - you want to treat it well and get the best from it. More often than not "we get in our own way". Being mindful of your breath, body and voice means bringing attention to the present moment on purpose, without judgement - being in the moment, in the experience.
I have my own small studio for private and small group sessions, so whether it's through acting a role, or just wanting to become more confident in using your voice, please do get in touch and we'll take it from there...
